CALCIUM SUPPLEMENTS: IT’S QUALITY VERSUS QUANTITY

People looking for CALCIUM to help their bone health, joints (and heart as well), have multiple choices these days. Calcium is available in capsules, tablets, powders, and liquids; as well as in combinations that include added minerals and vitamins for improved effect. You are usually safe with CALCIUM CITRATE; however, other forms can be tried as well.

Keep in mind the standard dose of 1,000-1,500mg of Calcium daily was based on the less-absorbable forms of CARBONATE and OYSTER SHELL. Theirs was so poor, you needed to take a pretty large amount in order toget some useable calcium. The rest would usually store in the intestines and simply calcify, causing digestive problems.

Lately a newer form has made the rounds: it’s called Red Marine Algae; an actual sea vegetable. It appears people really like this plant form for its quick absorption, especially when combined with a Red Marine Algaeform of MAGNESIUM.

I think it would be best if you just come-in and check out all our different options of CALCIUM …at the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center on North 19th Avenue.
